Dell Alienware M11X Gaming Notebook Review
Alienware gaming notebooks are known for their strong construct, effective equipment, outstanding performance, and the most common belief, their expensive price tags. The Dell Alienware M11X video gaming laptop presents {all of this}, but at a comparatively inexpensive price tag, lets find out how.
Video gaming notebooks are a dime-a-dozen, and commonly, they are large in size (say about 15-inches), they weigh at least 3 kgs, and offer almost no battery runtime. The Asus G51J, and the previous Alienware models, M15X as well as M17X, are perfect examples, however, the Dell Alienware M11X has changed all. It weighs just about half as much and is more compact, hence easier to transport. So video gaming is no more restricted to pc replacements, but even ultra-lightweight notebooks can take care of serious gaming, that too at the best price.
This new entrant features a 12-inch form factor with a 11.6-inch monitor and weighs lower than 2 kgs. When it comes to aesthetics, if anything about this laptop is different from some other Alienware gaming notebooks, it’s the size and weight. So, it is essentially a smaller model of the M15X. Starting off with the lid and screen frame, fortunately, they are the only two things with a glossy finish on the entire product. Standard of Alienware notebooks, you will discover lights all over, the keyboard and power button are backlit, then there are lights in the top and even below the unit. Speaking of which, turn the notebook upside down and you will see an inlet fan (using LEDs) below it. This fan helps useful air circulation, by pulling in air from underneath, which is then expelled from the side-vent.
Ergonomically, Dell Alienware M11X matches up nicely with some other Alienware notebooks. The whole wrist rest and the textured touchpad have a matte finish, and the mouse buttons are pretty comfortable to work with. All the ports are at either side and the only thing at the rear is the DC power connector. In terms of build quality the chassis, hinges and the entire package is rock solid. My thumbs up for Dell Alienware M11X.
