How about the speaker watt power I have to fix?
I have a Pioneer setup in my vehicle! Its out is 60Wx4! I need to know what kind of speakers suit for that? I mean about watts of speakers? As well what is the idea of Peak Input Power and Rated Input Power of speakers? I don’t know about it?
Jesse tart is right but to elaborate on max and rms.
Rms really is just another name for continueous. This means on speakers that it can handle that particular rms power for extended periods or all day and night without any damage. So if your sub is 300 watts rms then it can handle 300 watts all day long without any damage. If it is 600 watts max, this just means it can take 600 watts occasionally for a few seconds. Amps tend to flucuate in power depending on voltage or spikes in frequencies or volume.
with speakers you want to go by rms rating cuz thats the number you are gonna give it consistantly without damaging it. So this is why u focus on rms ratings as opposed to make values
The radio does the max rating either briefly or at such a high distortion level that it cant be used effectively.. They give u this number as a marketing technique to make u think the radio is all powerful.

The London Howlin’ Wolf Sessions $14.75 Shipping sixtysomething blues icon Howlin’ Wolf to England in May 1970, accompanied by his guitarist Hubert Sumlin, was a crapshoot. Wolf’s health was poor and he hadn’t recorded outside of Chicago since 1954. Not surprisingly, Wolf’s London excursion remains a mixed bag. Certainly, the participants’ hearts were in their music–with the notable exception perhaps of Wolf’s–but the result never qui… |
